PSP camera review.

I got this a couple of moths ago at Play Asia and I love it! In Japan it is called Chotto Shot, in Europe it is called Go Cam and in US it is called…………nothing cause Sony still hasen’t released it here! It sucks but if you a sucker for cool PSP accesories, then you have to import this one. Here are some of the features:

  • 1.3 megapixels
  • Wide angle lens F2.8 f=28mm (35mm conversion) with 40cm~∞/macro mode, (macro mode optimum photographing distance: 7cm)
  • Digital zoom
  • Recording format: Still picture: JPEG | Movie: Motion JPEG, Movie: Resolution 480 x 272 30 fps 15 seconds, Still picture: Resolution 480×272, 640×480
  • Monaural microphone linear PCM
  • Price: $49.90

Out of the box you get the camera and the software, but since I don’t know Japanese I do not use it. The built-in microphone is one of the best I have ever used for recording video. Also it is perfect for making small videos which you can upload to your blog or website. Unfortunately it is not all perfect. The picture quality is OK from a distance, but awful if zoomed in. Also, it is almost impossible to take pictures in the dark. Other than that, it is an awesome addition to your PSP.
